Love that I can use my "BCBA" balloons to spell "BABY" (just had to buy a "Y"). My daughter really wanted a baby shower. Since Lincoln is my third child I did not want to do that. But I did want to celebrate having a baby. What better way to do that than to combine it with celebrating a master's and becoming a BCBA?! Instead of a sip & see we called this little celebration a chug and hug. Jutro opowiem Wam o wyzwaniu, które dla Was przygotowałam 😈 a tymczasem wrzucam trening całego ciała bez sprzętu 😊 Co trzeba wiedzieć? Po pierwsze trzeba dobrze wczuć się we własne ciało i właśnie tego wymaga ten trening, bo wykonując go można albo dobrze zmęczyć mięśnie albo bezsensownie machać rekami. ◾W ćwiczeniu pierwszym i drugim mocno rozszerzamy ściereczkę na boki, pamiętając o napinaniu mięśni pleców i ściągnięciu łopatek (cycuchy do przodu😈). ◾W ćwiczeniu trzecim nie machamy ramionami, tylko mocno spinamy mięśnie pleców przy każdym ruchu.
◾W ćwiczeniu czwartym schodzimy w dół całym ciałem (nie tylko klatką piersiową!) i pilnujemy, by nie wyginać odcinka lędźwiowego. Możemy ułatwić sobie ćwiczenie rozstawiając dłonie szerzej.
◾Ćwiczenie piąte i szóste... hmmm 🤔 ciężko słowami wytłymaczyć mi technikę. Ćwiczenie piąte imituje wyciskanie hantelków nad głowę, może to komuś pomoże zrozumieć. W obu ćwiczeniach kolana stanowią podpór. Musicie poczuć że odpychając się od podłogi pracujecie mięśniami barków, nie jest to proste, ale mam nadzieję, że się uda.
◾Ćwiczenie siódme to ćwiczenie na triceps. Ruch odbywa się w stawie łociowym, nie biodrowym! To bardzo ważne, aby nie opuszczać bioder poprzez ruch w biodrze. Tu musimy poczuć mięśnie tricepsów.
◾Ćwiczenie ósme i dziewiąte wykonujemy oczywiście na każdą ze stron. W dziewiątym potrójny puls w dole i potrójny w gorze to jedno powtórzenie 😊

Po pierwsze trzeba dobrze wczuć się we własne ciało i właśnie tego wymaga ten trening, bo wykonując go można albo dobrze zmęczyć mięśnie albo bezsensownie machać rekami. ◾W ćwiczeniu pierwszym i drugim mocno rozszerzamy ściereczkę na boki, pamiętając o napinaniu mięśni pleców i ściągnięciu łopatek (cycuchy do przodu😈). ◾W ćwiczeniu trzecim nie machamy ramionami, tylko mocno spinamy mięśnie pleców przy każdym ruchu.
◾W ćwiczeniu czwartym schodzimy w dół całym ciałem (nie tylko klatką piersiową!) i pilnujemy, by nie wyginać odcinka lędźwiowego. Możemy ułatwić sobie ćwiczenie rozstawiając dłonie szerzej.
◾Ćwiczenie piąte i szóste... hmmm 🤔 ciężko słowami wytłymaczyć mi technikę. Ćwiczenie piąte imituje wyciskanie hantelków nad głowę, może to komuś pomoże zrozumieć. W obu ćwiczeniach kolana stanowią podpór. Musicie poczuć że odpychając się od podłogi pracujecie mięśniami barków, nie jest to proste, ale mam nadzieję, że się uda.
◾Ćwiczenie siódme to ćwiczenie na triceps. Ruch odbywa się w stawie łociowym, nie biodrowym! To bardzo ważne, aby nie opuszczać bioder poprzez ruch w biodrze. Tu musimy poczuć mięśnie tricepsów.
◾Ćwiczenie ósme i dziewiąte wykonujemy oczywiście na każdą ze stron. W dziewiątym potrójny puls w dole i potrójny w gorze to jedno powtórzenie 😊

Post-partum hormones left my hair in desperate need of support. I wanted those lucious preggo locks back. I whipped up a batch of this stuff and my hair has felt softer, tamer and is actually growing a lot faster! Try it out yourself!
MERMAID HAIR SPRITZER:
+ 2 oz glass spray bottle
+ 5-7 drops each of Cedarwood, Lavender and Rosemary + splash of witch hazel + fill the rest with water
Spray on damp hair and then style as usual.
** NO it will not make your hair feel oily and greasy. High quality oils for high quality hair ✌🏻

I didn’t think I’d EVER post something so honest and let myself be so vulnerable. This is MY reality. I have a 13month old and a 1month old. My husband is at work most of the days so I’m home by myself with both kids. We don’t have any family or friends where we live. No one to help us even for a SECOND. JUST US 24/7. We don’t get to breathe we don’t get breaks or date nights, like I said just US! Today I am exhausted beyond words. Magnüs is acting out because he’s hungry, needs attention and just wants to play and malökai will not stop crying unless he’s held, NOR does he sleep through the night. I’m was trying to clean the babies bottles, make the big one lunch, make sure he wasn’t getting into anything TOOO dangerous mind you I haven’t showered gotten, eaten or done a single thing for myself. I don’t feel great, I’m only 1 month postpartum but last time around it was “easy” for me to feel myself again. This time, it’s different. Makes me cry. This just happened to me last night and once every while. It was so easy to be a peaceful mom with the first. But with the second I have a 4 year old who is persistent and drives me a bit nutty when I’m sleep deprived and cluster feeding my 4 month old all day 😞

Ma petite séance du soir ce termine ☘
Yoga et travail du bas du corps dans le salon, car ma fille voulait regarder #lareinedesneiges 😂 (super maman power !) En attendant que le 2ème sorte pour l'acheter, on est déjà allees le voir 2 fois 🙌
Bref, donc moi, me voila "libérée, délivrée" de mes petites graisses que je laisse derrière de jours en jours.
Je me consacre 1 h 00 de sport par soir, comme ça, j'ai le temps, des fois je fais des positions de Yoga juste pour me détendre, pour l'instant je ne cherche pas de réelle performance, j'apprends à apprivoiser mon corps, connaître mes limites, connaître ce qui est a travailler pour ensuite accomplir plus grand 🙏
Je prends mon temps, après deux grossesse sans sport de fait, je crois que le mieux, c'est de reprendre à notre rythme, apprendre à gérer notre nouveau corps, et surtout ... ne pas se dégoûter des efforts physiques ! Car pour ma part, je fais peu de sport par soirées, mais NOM de chien sa bruuuuule les cuisses et les fesses, mais c'est ce que je recherche et franchement ! Plus je laisse passer mes soirées sur mon tapis, plus j'ai envie de faire des efforts 😍
Coucou les mamans qui ont reprit le sport avec la grossesse ? 👋👋 On lache rien ! On tient bien ! On tient le coup ! Have you noticed almost all milk supply supplements on the shelves contain fenugreek?! Is it safe?! Is it worth trying?
In short, Not really. There are much better options out there!
Let’s talk about the upside of Fenugreek
- Cheap and easy to get
- Increase milk supply
Downsides of Fenugreek - May cause decrease in milk supply - May cause fussiness, gassiness and/or diarrhea in MOM and BABY - Blocks absorption of high blood pressure and diabetes medication - Works with breast tissue to over produce and can easily clog ducts - Should NOT be taken while pregnant, or people whom are diabetic, have high blood pressure, PCOS, or on a blood thinner, as fenugreek affects the absorption and effectiveness of the medication
Upside of Moringa - Has more iron than spinach and more potassium than a banana - Naturally a good source of Vitamin A, C, and calcium - Works with hypothalamus to increase prolactin levels
Downside of Moringa - Can increase or decrease blood sugar levels
- Studies found high doses of moringa in people with cancer, increased cancer formation - Should NOT be taken WHILE pregnant As it may cause uterus contraction (making it useful postpartum) -
You can see both have pros and cons, but talk to your health care provider ( Me ☺️) to see what supplements could work best for you.

Fenugreek is a plant with white flowers containing seeds, which are the seeds we use in teas, powders and other herbal remedies.⠀⠀

Fenugreek can increase milk supply in certain individuals:⠀⠀
A recent publication, updated 1 year ⠀
ago in January of 2019, looked at various studies done to attempt to conclude whether fenugreek increases milk supply. According to this publication, many of the mothers who took ONLY Fenugreek, did not see quantifiable increases in milk volume, though these studies have many issues that make them non-conclusive.⠀⠀

So what studies have concluded is with reviews and research is that small amounts of Fenugreek, combined with other galactagogues is the best way to go because it eliminates the likelihood of side effects from Fenugreek, but also utilizes its strengths.⠀⠀

As we know , every woman is different and although, Fenugreek is known in the breastfeeding community as a miracle supplement to increase supply . For some that may be true but it can decrease your supply just as fast as it could increase it ‼️⠀⠀⠀

⠀⚠️If you choose to use fenugreek pay attention to your output if you notice its negatively decreasing your supply please stop immediately!!!⠀

Fenugreek is a plant with white flowers containing seeds, which are the seeds we use in teas, powders and other herbal remedies.⠀⠀

Fenugreek can increase milk supply in certain individuals:⠀⠀
A recent publication, updated 1 year ⠀
ago in January of 2019, looked at various studies done to attempt to conclude whether fenugreek increases milk supply. According to this publication, many of the mothers who took ONLY Fenugreek, did not see quantifiable increases in milk volume, though these studies have many issues that make them non-conclusive.⠀⠀

So what studies have concluded is with reviews and research is that small amounts of Fenugreek, combined with other galactagogues is the best way to go because it eliminates the likelihood of side effects from Fenugreek, but also utilizes its strengths.⠀⠀

As we know , every woman is different and although, Fenugreek is known in the breastfeeding community as a miracle supplement to increase supply . For some that may be true but it can decrease your supply just as fast as it could increase it ‼️⠀⠀⠀

⠀⚠️If you choose to use fenugreek pay attention to your output if you notice its negatively decreasing your supply please stop immediately!!!⠀
I recommend that if you have low milk supply, it would be best to not risk your already struggling milk supply and Try Fenugreek free products instead ! ⠀⠀

I haven't been around on this account much or even following a low carb/keto diet. I read this to myself every morning. It helps, sometimes. Since having my baby in May, I have struggled a lot mentally and finally went to the Dr about it, I was diagnosed with post partum depression and anxiety. I have never in my life gone through anything close to what I'm going through now. I can't tell you what's it's like because there are no words to describe it. Some days are great, most days are not. I have a lot of support from my husband and family. It's hard for me to talk about this but it needs to be talked about, it's okay to admit that you don't have it all together and that you just can't do it anymore. After 🤱🏼 - During 🤰🏼- Before 🙎🏼‍♀️ This is my “transformation”. I put a whopping 4 stone on during pregnancy. After some issues at the start, I was so scared of losing him that I was probably over cautious and scared to do any strenuous exercise, and ate whenever I felt hungry (which was a lot!) as I didn’t want him to starve. In the before picture, I wasn’t happy with my body. I was obsessed with losing weight and would wear baggy clothes to hide my stomach. I wouldn’t say I’m confident with my body now, but I don’t feel the need to hide it anymore, despite the mum pouch, wobbly bits and stretch marks because I LOVE what it brought me. The first time I took Flynn swimming, I was really self conscious thinking everyone else would be staring, but I soon came to realise that no one really cares or even notices your insecurities except you, and what is the point worrying when you can just have fun with your baby instead! Most of the pressure we feel, comes from ourselves. I don’t really believe in the body positivity movement, because that puts a lot of pressure on you and I don’t think I will ever be truly LOVE my body, but I’ve got to the point where I don’t mind it and that’s enough for me. What has your experience been with your post partum body?

Let’s talk about hobbies!! It was a little over a year ago when I learned the devastating facts of maternal survival rate. So i became a Doula and when I’m not in school I’m doing what I can to help local mothers and mothers to be.
The U.S. has the worst rate of maternal deaths in the developed world and black women are 243% more likely to die from pregnancy or child birth related causes. Studies show that having a doula decreases unplanned CSections by 50%, the length of labor by 25%, and the request for epidural by 60%. 1 out of 6 women are mistreated during labor. i.e shouted at, scolded, threatened, ignored, refused, or receiving no response to requests for help.

Hard to believe that this was almost a week ago. Our sweet pea well be three weeks tomorrow.
Today was a big day for us. Andersen finally reached her birth weight. We've been working hard through breastfeeding, pumping and supplementing to ensure that she is getting everything she needs. Today felt like we turned a very important corner. Mama celebrated with a donut. 🍩

It doesn’t matter if you fall down, it’s whether you get back up.....that’s how I felt these past 2 weeks one day I go to the gym , the next 2-3 days I don’t and then I wasn’t eating according to my goals... but that’s the past. This is a new week and I’m more focus. Since I lost all the -36 pounds I gained from pregnancy plus more currently at 118, which was not my plan ( lost some muscle ) I was 120 when I got preggo. My goal is to put on more muscle maybe 5 pounds or it depends on how I feel that’s what I mainly go about not the number but how I look and feel. A huge shoutout to my total control because without it I don’t function the same 😂😂 —————————————————-

Sometimes the hardest part of a new mom’s day is trying to find time to eat. We can’t care for others when we aren’t taking care of ourselves. Ha! That’s easier said than done! Babies need touch, love, and reassurance that you are there. And some babies need more than others (it can feel *constant*). You aren’t spoiling your baby or doing anything wrong by providing that. Using the tools around you, like babywearing, will make providing for your baby and providing for yourself a little less stressful and a lot more enjoyable. ❤️🍎❤️ {red heart, red apple, red heart emoji}

Have you eaten today? Put baby in your carrier and grab yourself a snack, refill your water bottle, and maybe make another cup of coffee or tea. You deserve it! #howioanda

it felt like it lasted 100 years, but i’m soooo happy to say goodbye to this first trimester, and am welcoming myself to the second trimester with a little baby bump! #13weeks
i can’t believe how fast i’m beginning to show with this third pregnancy 👀. i’m in that awkward stage where you don’t totally look pregnant - it just looks like a big ole’ food baby 😏😋. it’s making it all feel more “real” though, and i’m so happy and excited to bring this baby into our family!

we listened to it’s sweet little heartbeat this morning, which is just the best sound in the world! we’ll be finding out the gender soon, and i have ZERO feelings towards what it is 🤷🏻‍♀️. this pregnancy has been entirely different from the others, so i’ll be surprised either way.

Highlight of my day & highlight of my life.

Today I’ve been thinking a lot about the struggle we went through to get to this place of such joy.

From undiagnosed medical issues to terrible experiences with doctors, infertility, and the loss of our baby boy.

I wouldn’t wish any of the hard stuff on anyone, but I do want to say... if you are in the hard season right now please stay strong and keep fighting. It is worth every single tear and every heartache to have your family someday regardless of whether it be through fertility treatments, adoption, or foster care.

I’d go through it all again in a heartbeat to get to this moment.

If you’re suffering and longing today, I’m praying for you and holding you close to my heart.

If you’ve been blessed with children, hold them close and give them a little extra love today for all the mamas in waiting.
