    FULL BODY // after warming up with the stair stepper until my shoes became untied (only ten minutes actually ☺️🤷‍♀️) I was feeling good and decided I could do a full body day with light weight to get my body ready for the marathon tomorrow! 🏃🏼‍♀️ (you know me, DUMBBELL QUEEN) 
Really hoping the DB strict deadlifts don’t make my hamstrings tight...😅😬 it’s been a minute for those! Ah well, you live and you learn am I right!? 🙃

    Super humid 4 mile run followed by splits (I can see a change in my flexibility,  but hard to imagine a full split in 21 more days), and abs. .
I have been using my runtastic 6 pack abs app for my abs the last few days.  My reasoning is, it saves me time deciding what exercises to do and it times out my rest periods so I don't have to.  Honestly,  it majorly speeds things up.  I am doing more reps that the current workout calls for to increase the difficulty. .
I have been tossing around the idea of switching from running shorts to yoga short for a while.  The chafing and wedgies (TMI sorry) were just getting to be a bit much.  Sooo happy I did.  These were so much more comfortable to run in today.

I have to get back into some arms.  I haven't been making the time with the splits,  but I need to. .

    Worked on my medal display and realized I never shared my awards from @clevemarathon So excited to place in the one mile race for a second year, I'll miss that race next year. But there's new challenges in 2020: 5k and half, 5k and full, 10k and half, and 10k and full. I'm in for the 5k and half challenge, you should join me!

    2.5 mile run and my smile says it all? LOL.
Half marathon training is a real struggle, trying to start over after injuries. Making sure to stretch and strength train. Get enough sleep. Attempt to have a social life? Very difficult. October will be here soon and I’m ready to cross that finish line, injury free of course.

    I have not posted much from training and in all honesty it’s because I am struggling! I have been running a year now. I have gone from never running to the Bix7. I love running: I have my eyes on a half. But training and the craziness of my life right now is overwhelming me. Tonight I ran just to run. I didn’t care about miles or speed I ran to reset my brain. To think and not think at the same time. At this point I do not know if a half marathon will happen in 3 weeks. What I do know is that i love running! And I’ve accomplished a lot in this year. And I have a long time to keep accomplishing goals. I have a long run Friday then my husband and I are off to Utah to camp and hike and when I return I hope to Have a more clear mind on what to do. #runner#reset#goals#itsoktochangethem#dowhatsbestforyou#caughtupinit#wantoenjoyitagain#halfmarathontraining#scared#canidoit

    Anyone else feel extra fierce when they wear all black to the gym⁉️Had a hardddd glute intensive leg day + 20 minutes on the spin bike. Oh, and @heyhannahashen changed my life when she told me that there is a @onepeloton app... yesssss!!! Taking big advantage of their 14 day free trial period and extending my Peloton obsession back home! 🖤 #runnernotrunning

You can push yourself so hard in training to the point of fatigue. Exhaustion. This is how you progress. But is not needed everyday. 🙌🏼

Is the exhaustion, OVERworking, stressed pain you put on yourself really bettering yourself? Your mind? And your body?
•

Putting in the extra mile just to do more even though you know your legs can’t take it? This is a common thing I hear among many runners and I wanted to draw attention to it. BTW: this is about OVERworking. I support doing your BEST but not burning yourself out. •

Going the extra mile, or miles isn’t *always* going to help you in the long run. Making sure your recovered, healed and truly listening to your body when it tells you it’s had enough. • 
This is when you will progress. Mentally and physically. You won’t be at the point of burnout anymore. •

I’m not saying don’t push yourself in workouts or races. I’m simply saying run smarter. Not farther. And not **always** harder. Be smart. Sometimes pushing yourself isn’t the best option. Other times it is!!!

Quality over quantity. Especially for young athletes. The body and mind needs time to recover. Which will only make you stronger!! Give it the time it needs!! Listen to your body.... everyone is different!!💕🏃🏼‍♀️ (everyone has different opinions on this and that’s okay!! I’m just sharing mine💖💖) •
