One of the best things about adventure is it is unpredictable. But it can also spoil your best laid training plans. And today my taste for adventure definitely spoiled my training plans!
On a whim I decided to go to Chula Vista and Lake Otay Reservoir in hopes of a longer trail run. But I couldn’t find a real trail system that seemed accessible or safe and ended up on a roadside flat dirt trail that, while scenic, was not the adventure I was looking for. So I only made it a couple miles before I went back to my car and then went driving around try to find a trailhead in the Otay wilderness that felt safe to run solo. But there wasn’t really any safe parking and all the trails looked to be closed and I just didn’t get the best feeling about it so I turned around and went home. Maybe I can try again another day cause the Otay wilderness was absolutely stunning and beautiful and I would love to do a trail run there sometime if I can figure out where to go. And by the time I got home I had completely lost my running mojo.☹️ So tonight I’m hitting the reset button and planing to try again tomorrow. 💪🏻 I’m not worried either. Everyone has an off day in their training once in a while. 🤷🏼‍♀️ So here’s to adventure and the ups and downs that come along with it!

This Glow girl is making nice gains by training with me consistantly and building lean muscle. Stay focused dont look for gains they will eventually show and surprise you. Sometimes when you make a small movement people will notice a muscle pop out and give you a compliment.

We love health and fitness tips, but often don’t feel we have the time to honor them. Everyone knows that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. However, how many of us miss out because we’re short on time?
It’s hard to get a good start to your day without it, and it needn’t be a chore.
You can easily soak some overnight oats the night before or cut some fruit to go with low-fat yogurt. Both of these can be grabbed from the fridge on the go the next morning.
Other easy alternatives are low-fat cereal bars, which can be eaten in the car, bus, or train. Breakfast bars also work well in a pinch.
And the most quick and easy option according to me is to cook some incredible eggs for the breakfast which can be made in so many ways just in no time for the morning rush!

Breakfast helps to kick-start your metabolism and give you energy for the day ahead. Healthy breakfasts can also help you lose weight, as you’re less likely to snack mid-morning. It’s worth taking 5 minutes to grab or make something healthy and eat breakfast, setting yourself up for health and productivity for the rest of the day.

Many think of transformations as simply being a “quick fix” or something that happens overnight. Bear with me on this one, it doesn’t happen over night, but it does happen! When you decide it is time to transform yourself, you are starting a journey of unlearning what you know, and relearning a new lifestyle, new habits, new mindsets, new outlook and appreciation for your overall well-being. Embrace it, be patient with yourself, and continuously surround yourself with those who are on the same path as you despite differences in journeys. There is one similarity that can’t be refuted, you are each working to become the best version of yourself! There are times I need to remind myself of this as well, we all do at some point. Spicy butternut squash and sweet potato soup
Tuna pasta & sweetcorn on a bed of spinach red onion & 1 mini sweet yellow pepper and mix tomato.
Will do the bolognese and harrisa chicken today & tattie&leek soup,
I actually ate one of the tuna dishes earlier pretty tasty 😂
Really looking forward to the chicken 😍
I've also got baking potatoes 👌
Oats greek yogurt blueberries and strawberries prepared for brekie
I've boiled me eggs for snacks🥚🥚🥚
So pretty excited for the nxt wk 🤗
I've had the pleasure of my grandchildren this wknd 2 girls and 1 boy, along with my youngest 2 😂 so that's why only done so much prep as yet, its bn a constant food running production 🙈😂 so heres to the wk ahead!

Change your mindset around why these things fall down your priority list. Problem solve how you’ll fit them in to your schedule. Spend less time on your phone. Find a workout buddy. Reassess your priorities. You don’t have to prioritise workouts and nutrition, but don’t be frustrated when you don’t make progress. .

This was my one year of dedication & hard work. .
❤️If you want to be healthy and lose weight, you need to make the right choices for you and your body. You need to sacrifice some things (for sometime). For example, when I am on a plan I don’t have sugars, milk, alcohol, bread etc. But trust me ,those little sacrifices take you a long way.

Last couple of weeks squats, first video is 115kgs and second is 120(they’re a bit high) but happy with the way they moved considering I’d spent the day before travelling and catching up mum duties and not much sleep. 6 weeks out from states, it’s going to be fun!

This is only the beginning and so much more work to be done. But even though I still have goals I am happy with the progress I have made. My body has gone through many different transformations through its life time.
But my most true self is the ranchers daughter. I was born to be strong, I was born to throw Hay bales. I was the most proud of myself in highschool feeling strong and wrestling calves. 💪💪
Since then I went to a runners body to a beer body that I still didn't hate but didn't treat my body like I loved it. But I felt my weakest in those moments and I do not like feeling weak. I did not feel proud of myself.
Now I'm back to building my body like it was made too. I may not be wrestling calves anymore but I'm preparing to take on other challenges. Challenges that excite me and make me proud of being the girl who runs with the boys.

Happy Weekend 🤣
Für uns beginnt heute der letzte richtige Tag in Kapstadt. Morgen gehts zurück nach Hause 🏡. Freu mich aber so sehr auf Rocky 🐶. Jetzt gleich mache ich erstmal noch ein Workout mit den Girls.
