A teammate of mine posted this and it straight hit my soul on another level this morning.  I’m talking I had to take a deep breath and fight back the tears.  Wtf. That’s NOT me. But it’s the 100% honest to God truth. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I’ve been reading and researching and listening to every podcast signing up for every CLE class I can find trying to get my businesses (yes more than one) out of this lull and off the ground. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Hubby sent me a video last week titled “mediocre people don’t like high achievers. “⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I didn’t even watch it. 🙄I straight up said “I used to think I was a high achiever. But maybe I’m just mediocre. I currently have ONE client, was ghosted by another, am doing a ton of pro bono, and have another late paying (basically non paying) client.” He attempted to talk sense into me. And I let him think he did. But in my head I’ve been thinking my businesses are all stuck in the same point and going nowhere. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

A little anxiety is normal, good for us. 
To push us that little bit more, that extra boost of adrenaline to get you to the deadline.

🙏BUT constantly pushing your limits will switch this stress response on with no rest to turn it back down again. Exhausted AND experiencing anxiety can leave you not knowing how to help yourself.

🙏HELP
First thing is bringing a calm to your body & then the mind. 
Using tools like
Meditation
Mindfulness
Muscle relaxation techniques 
Sleep 
Yoga 
Any calm activity
All to send a message to your mind & body 'it's ok we are calming, there is no danger/stress you can switch off our stress response.'

*this is a process & obviously easier said than done. However actions speak louder than words, our action are the ones we choose. The only way to know anything is through practice, support, self compassion.🤗

🙏PREVENTION 
in this case the cause of stress is giving too much. MORE than you can give. 
It's time to look at your boundaries, & this for many people will be the first time you have even questioned that you have a choice in the matter. Boundaries are when we acknowledge what our needs are & if doing that action or behaviour will compromise your needs, compromise what's ok for you. Everyone is different & it's perfectly ok for you to decide where to draw the line. Once you know where to draw the line, now it's about learning & practicing to say no thank you. Sometimes you have to say it once. Sometimes people will keep asking & thats fine, you just keep letting them know that YOU have decided what's good for you. Sometimes this feels very strange for a while as you may have never been shown boundaries or have had yours pushed since you were small, that's ok it's never too late to learn!🤗

Always polite, you don't have to raise your voice, you are not defending yourself here. There is no fight. You've decided & that's that!

Once you begin getting to know what's good for you, the stress reduces🙏

    Quick rhino conservation post!
My wifi overseas is still spotty, but @disney__dinesh asked me to raise awareness for wild rhino conservation. With more funding these organizations can increase monitoring of their movements, expand their wild range, and help prevent poaching.
If you’d like to donate to help wild rhinos, I’ve looked up a few groups you can donate to! Public support goes a long way ❤️
