✅2 giant sets of incline db bench, db side laterals with drop set, incline pushups, chest flex/most muscular for 20 sec ✅Machine shoulder press 2x10rest-pause5, 1x10rest-pause drop set for AMRAP
✅Behind the head cable tricep extensions superset w/ front raises w/ plate 3-4x10-15 each ✅Diamond push-ups on medicine ball 3x8-12, on last set superset with regular pushups for AMRAP

    After a series of things, priorities like work, work travel, vacation, new puppy, and starting middle school, I found myself having unintentionally taken a month off from working out!!!

After 5 years of consistency, this nearly unnerved me. I just did my first back and triceps workout in 1 month. There is consolation in that the muscles didn’t fade completely!

    ⁉️ برای افزایش عضله‌سازی، پروتئین را کی مصرف کنیم؟ 👈 افرادی که به منظور کسب قدرت و حجم تمرین می‌کنند، با مصرف ۱.۵ الی ۲ گرم پروتئین به ازای هر کیلوگرم وزن بدن، بهترین نتیجه را کسب می‌کنند. ✅ پروتئین را در چند وعده بخورید، بهترین پیشنهاد:
👈 یک وعده بعد از بیدار شدن از خواب؛
👈 یک وعده قبل تمرین و بعد تمرین؛
👈 یک وعده قبل از خواب. ✅ تقسیم مصرف پروتئین در ۳ وعده یا بیشتر در طول روز به جای  مصرف کل پروتئین مورد نیاز در یک وعده، باعث سنتز پروتئین بالاتر می‌شود. ⏰ تمرینات قدرتی سنتز پروتئین را در افراد مبتدی و افرادی که بعد از مدتی وقفه دوباره به ورزش پرداخته‌اند تا ۴۸ ساعت و در افراد با تجربه تا ۲۴ ساعت بالا می‌برد. ✅ "پنجره فرصت" مصرف پروتئین، حدود ۴ الی ۶ ساعت نزدیک تمرین است. یعنی اگر در این زمان وعده غذایی پر پروتئین را ۲ ساعت قبل و ۲ ساعت بعد تمرین مصرف کنید، بیشترین سود را خواهید برد.
وعده غذایی بعد تمرین اگر حاوی کربوهیدرات نیز باشد باعث بهبود نتایج حاصله از مصرف پروتئین می‌شود.

I’ve dabbled with playing tennis the past few years but it wasn’t until this year that I took it seriously. 🤓⁣

I took lessons and consistently made time in my workout schedule to practice. Now, I’m so addicted to playing I’m even out on the courts in real feel temps of 100 degrees and cray humidity — hence this 💦 snap from last night after an hour of play! 😅⁣

Tomorrow it’s two weeks until I step on that platform again. But nothing is like its been before. It’s my first big competition as a senior lifter, it’s my first big competition where I have been alone the entire peaking and it’s my first competition where I have no idea where my powers will take me. .

It’s been both a struggle and a thrive, this peaking. It’s been hard dealing on my own, with personal life interfering & trying to focus on the practice when head and heart is a thousand miles away. But it has been a thrive, learing for real how strong I am. Not physically - but mentally. .

It’s been almost like a out-of-body experience, where I every morning picked myself up and pushed myself to work harder each day. And where I every morning watched myself do it, all over again. Shutting everything else out and almost being like a robot, dead set in my routines. .

I have been scared, for lifting weights without spotters and for making myself disappointed. And I have been disappointed some days, but that’s comes with the package of being an athlete - learning how to accept defeat and move on. Become better the next day. But now, in the end of this tunnel, I am so proud. Proud of what I’ve done so far, proud of how I never lost sight of my goal and proud of completing this peaking and doing it with a smile. .

I don’t know what the outcome of this competition will be - and truthfully, I will be happy either way. Because this peaking, this journey has been a victory on its own. I survived a time I thought would kill me, and I even came out stronger because of it! But it ain’t over until the fat lady sings - and oh my what we will sing in two weeks. Now, let’s finnish this like we started it - with passion in my heart and family and friend by my side. ❤️ .
