仕立て屋ヨキさんによる「墨とべんがらで描く手ぬぐい作り」を開催予定でしたが、
雨予報のため延期になりました。
楽しみにしていた方、申し訳ありません。
延期日は翌週としていましたが、翌週も雨予報のため、
9月14日になりました。

This dessert surpasses nine fresh and black balls, and what makes it even better is the vegan toppings and Japanese Soy Cream, which usually I opted out from nine fresh.

I’m amazed at both the texture and taste of the matcha balls. The chewiness of the matcha balls, which felt home-made and the matcha taste was on-pointe, not overpowering.

1 cup almond butter Can use any nut or seed butter
1 cup granulated sweetener of choice
1/4 cup chia seeds
1/4 cup plant milk
1/4 cup vegan sugar-free chocolate chips optional

⏩⏩Instructions
.
1. Line an 8 x 8-inch pan with parchment paper and set aside.
2. In a high-speed blender or food processor, combine your pecans and almonds and blend until a crumbly texture remains.
3. Add your almond butter, granulated sweetener of choice and chia seeds blend until combined. Add your milk of choice and continue blending, until a thicker batter remains. If the batter is too crumbly, continue adding small amounts of milk.
4. Transfer your pecan pie batter to the lined pan and press firmly into place. Add optional chocolate chips and refrigerate until firm. Using a slightly wet knife, cut into bars.

    Said goodbye to a true Philadelphia vegan landmark tonight. With great sadness I ate my final meal at New Harmony. Ming is retiring and it’s going to be closing it’s doors at the end of next week I think. So many memories at this place and at Kingdom. Back in the day his restaurants were really the only game in town as far as veg food went in Philly. I ate so much of these General Tsos when I was in college I’m surprised I didn’t turn into a fried gluten ball. Anyway it was great to see the place packed with so many people saying goodbye to someone who has fed so many of us for so long. This place was such a time warp. It hadn’t changed a bit and always brought back such good memories. Even after all these years I don’t think there has been a veg Chinese food place that could come close to topping them. Definitely going to be missed for sure. If you get a chance try and drop in for one last meal. A lot of stuff was already starting to get crossed off the menu so act fast!

Gluten and dairy free and bursting with juicy flavours 😝 Just 20 mins to prep, no fuss and absolutely delicious as is, or toasted and spread with nut butter. I’m not a massive cake person but for some reason I LOVE loaf cakes, what about you? Had a fun week last week hanging with friends, but super excited to be back in the kitchen👩🏼‍🍳my happy place☺️Hope you’re having a fab end to your week xoxoxo

Blueberry lemon pound cake

Wet
.
3/4 cup almond milk
3/4 cup sugar
2 tsp vanilla extract
3 tbsp veg oil
half lemon, juiced and zested
1/2 cup non dairy yoghurt (I used @nushfoods almond yoghurt)

Dry
.
2 cups all purpose gluten free flour
1/4 tsp xanthan gum
1.5 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup blueberries
.
Preheat oven to 180•c and line a loaf tin. Mix all wet ingredients together in a bowl until smooth. In a another bowl, add all dry ingredients apart from blueberries. Stir to combine, then add to the wet ingredients and mix to form a smooth batter. Fold through 3/4 cup blueberries, saving the rest. Fill loaf tin with batter and sprinkle blueberries on top. Bake for 60 mins, until golden and a toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely before slicing.
