Op pad met een schema. Dat is totaal nieuw voor mij. Wilde graag wat hou vast en weten wat te doen, en niet zomaar de deur uit gaan en denken ik zie het wel. Of een week voor een evenement denken o ja had gericht moeten trainen. Vanaf nu gaat @fridoflijmscherp mij daar bij helpen. Alles in het horloge gezet en gaan... Voor het eerst in lange tijd geen gevecht met mijzelf en de km's, want die vlogen voorbij.

Another rough workout. 10 min w/u, 3x7 min @ 7:45-8:00 with 2 min jogs between sets, c/d to 5 miles. I was going to quit after first fast part. Then instead of jogging I walked between sets and somehow got through it. Maybe this rough patch will make me a mentally stronger runner 😆

Meine drei Highlights am ersten Tag zurück in 🇩🇪 1.) Ich bin gestern Abend zum dritten Mal Tante geworden. #welcomebjörn 👣🥰 2.) Unsere Internetverbindung steht wieder (nachdem wir vor drei Wochen einen Termin gemacht hatten, hat's der Techniker nun repariert - zum Glück waren wir in der Zwischenzeit auf Reisen). 👌 Yeah, so kann ich arbeiten! 🤪👍 Und jetzt her mit euren Highlights für heute!

TAG 18 #meinwegzurmitteldistanz ☆ 30 Minuten 🏃‍♀️ eigentlich 🤣

Manchmal läuft es eben einfach anders😂 Eigentlich standen nur 30 Minuten #run auf dem Plan. Dann dachte ich mir, ich verlängere ein bisschen auf 10 km und wollte vom Büro nach Hause laufen. Hab ich auch gemacht. Nur dass ich nach 2 km gemerkt hab,dass der Wohnungsschlüssel noch im Büro liegt😁 Also sind es am Ende 14 km geworden 👍💪

I'm 🅵🅸🅽🅸🆂🅷🅴🆁 🏅 #marathondereims 🏅.
Que dire, c'est l'aboutissement de tout Runner je pense. Pouvoir dire je suis marathonien 😃 !!!!
Mais pour en arriver là, c'est quelques sacrifices,  souffrances mais surtout du partage et de l'entraide. Tout cela je le partage avec ma moitié, ma vie @dal_sport_addict 💖💕. C'est vrai que de partager la même passion, ça nous aide et nous motive. C'est aussi grâce à notre Club que je remercie encore pour l'accueil @couriracomines qui m'a permis de progresser.
Nous voilà le jour J, je reste zen malgré l'effort qui m'attend... Nous nous rendons jusqu'au départ en tramway🚋. Ensuite marche de 20 min pour nous rendre dans le SAS de départ ou ma cheville me fait déjà souffrir et tout ça sous une pluie battante☔qui nous ne quittera pas jusqu'à la ligne d'arrivée😢. A ceci, vous rajoutez le vent, voici un bon cocktail 💨. Le départ approche et 1er galère, mon brasselet de montre casse😭. Donc courir 42 km en tenant ma montre en main⌚. On enchaîne les kilomètres dans de mauvaises conditions climatiques et à ça s'ajoutent les nombreuses côtes pendant près de 20 km. Je souffre de ma cheville  mais je m'accroche à chaque ravito. Retour sur Reims par le canal, 10 km en ligne droite les plus interminable de ma vie !!!!!! Enfin l'arrivée, où m'attend ma moitie💖. Place à l'émotion 💗💗. Voilà on l'a fait et nous pouvons dire nous sommes 🅼🅰🆁🅰🆃🅷🅾🅽🅸🅴🅽. Merci à tous pour votre soutien 😍😘

And it’s day 100 in my training program. Can’t believe it’s only 12 more days till the @nycmarathon 🗽 Today is bittersweet because I part ways with intense workouts for this training cycle. You know the saying - “there is no bad weather for running only bad kit” right? Yeah well so today I massively underestimated how warm it was and set out in a lovely warm long-sleeved top. Within a mile I was way too hot and there is nothing that saps my energy more than being too hot! So this is me being very un-British and pretending not to care and running in my sports bra - luckily it was one of my nicer ones!!! As you were people!!

Mother Nature was kind enough to give us some cool temps, and let’s just say we crushed it. 💪🏼 Great work @t0ughc00ki3 she is determined and always pushing hard when she’s running. Way to go, girl! As for me, my time improved from early September and I’ll take it. All thanks @runracepace for keeping us strong and motivated! 💪🏼💞..

Over all this run was hard. From minute 11 I was counting down the minutes till the end which doesn’t help. However, I was pushing through which makes the accomplishment that more rewarding. 2nd hard day in a row is always hard. Trains the body to work under fatigue. Just like running 2 a days.
I think I was to heavy on my feel this morning. I noticed that I was all over the treadmill and couldn’t settle down. I do believe my firm was way off for too long which could have caused the shin pain by the end. Could I have lasted the last five minutes? Yes! However, is it smart? No! Listen to the body and take what comes. Tomorrow is another day. My goals will happen. My timeline has to be amended when the body has issues. I got this.
20 minute warm up.
1.5 incline at 8.7/6:53. At 24 minutes picked up to 8.8/6:48. Was going to speed up at 28 minutes and sprint soon there after.
Because of the pain, had to bail on the cool down.

20 minute warm up. 
1.5 incline at 8.7/6:53. At 24 minutes picked up to 8.8/6:48. Was going to speed up at 28 minutes and sprint soon there after. 
Because of the pain, had to bail on the cool down.

Tuesday AM speed session,
10.3 total: Warm up, 6x 1 Mile target was marathon - half marathon paceish like 5:50-5:30: I was a little quicker than marathon pace though. (5:35, 5:39, 5:34, 5:28, 5:28, 5:27) with 60s slow jog in between each repeat. This workout was on grass and pavement, not the track.
This type of workout is definitely not my favorite to do. I wanted to call it at 5x 1 mile but, I was being mentally week. Happy to grind through it. I'm happy I did because I become mentally stronger and develop more belief in myself everytime I do one of these workouts.
Tonight I'll run 5-6 really slow and easy with the OG @tyler_hemenway

This is going to be a tough week with training and 4 days in Houston for work, but we'll make it happen! Just have to do my best.

❤️Heute bin bin ich das erste Mal mit meinem 4 jährigen Sohn gelaufen 🥰. Es ist seit langem sein Wunsch, da ich ja auch mit seinen großen Brüdern laufe. Er war voll motiviert 💪und mit Begeisterung dabei 😍. Ich laufe demnächst mit den großen Jungs einen Wettkampf, es gibt dort auch einen Kinderlauf mit 2 Kilometern , wo mein jüngster gerne dran teilnehmen möchte. Heute war sozusagen der Testlauf, ob er 2 Kilometer am Stück laufen kann. Er hat es super toll gemacht, aber wir mussten natürlich ein paar Gehpausen einbauen. Ich weiß noch nicht ob ich ihn anmelde, weil in dem Alter bist du entweder erster oder du hast verloren 🤷🏻‍♀️. Ich möchte nicht das er enttäuscht ist und eventuell die Lust am laufen verliert. Vielleicht warten wir noch ein Jahr. Schön war es so oder so mit ihm zu laufen 🏃‍♀️ 🧒🏼🥰❤️.

My early 20's were consumed with doubt, pessimism and negative self-talk. I was at rock bottom. When I bounced out of that mindset my world changed; opportunities seemed endless and I accomplished things I didn't think I was capable of.

It feels really good to believe in myself and continue this momentum after North Country Trail 50 win 6 weeks ago.

Easy Run today including 4x30s pickups. Feeling really good in my second week back to training and my third week in Texas.

I will likely be running the Brazos Bend 50 Mile race in December and USATF 100M championships in February. I'll sprinkle in some other minor races in between now and then but those are the big ones. I'm excited for the challenge.

12 Miles this morning including 40 minute tempo @ 5:44 pace. My 7th mile today was like a 5:33 or something, so I am feeling pretty good about how my fitness is coming along. I didn't think I had this one in me today, but @mattdaniels480
Pushed me to make it happen!
I had to battle 20 MPH winds, so this workout was harder than it should have been.

I'll do another 30 minutes really easy tonight with the @runonmockingbird

Don’t run and snap!!! 📵Tja. Das kommt davon, wenn man in die eine Richtung schaut und in die andere rennt: Zwei Sekunden später hab ich mich so richtig mies gemault. Einen Teil davon hab ich sogar noch mit der Kamera erwischt. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Ergebnis: Hand aufgeschlagen wie zu besten Kindergartenzeiten, ein dicker Knöchel UND: Dreck an den neuen Schuhen!😖Eigentlich wollte ich heute schreiben, dass ich mich auf den Halbmarathon freue und mich bestens vorbereitet fühle. Diese Aussage stelle ich dummheitsbedingt nochmal nach hinten. 😂

Running free- the monkey is off my back. I hope yesterday’s post didn’t seem cocky. I was just trying to be playful and I was pumped about my workout. The truth of the matter is that this year was a pretty tough year of running for me and I feel in a really great place right now. Bringing it back to Boston again, at the beginning of this year I was feeling really stressed about my spring marathon because I was trying to get a bigger cushion. I was not enjoying training. I was feeling physically and emotionally drained. And spoiler alert, in case you missed it I ended up with my first ever DNS and DNF in the marathon. I was at a pretty low point. I didn’t even know if I’d run a fall marathon. I applied for NYC and didn’t get in. Then the next day applied for the @philly_marathon ambassador position. I got selected and decided it was fate that I should be there again. But for months I questioned it. Maybe I’ll drop to the half I said to myself weekly. I felt very unclear on a goal or if I could even put myself through another marathon training cycle. And how would I feel if I didn’t get into Boston again? Would I have the fuel to continue the chase? Or would I put it to rest? Well as you know, my dream finally came true and I got in! But how will I feel about running when I get in? I had tied so many emotions to it for so long. Along the way I had started to train hard, but couldn’t fully commit to a goal. Over the last month or so things just really started to click. And after spending most of the year feeling like I wasn’t improving, I feel like I’m having a little breakthrough. And man I’m excited! A large part of it is physical. I’ve put in the work. I’ve continued to show up. But a big piece is mental. Getting the Boston monkey off my back has been huge. What will Philly bring? Who knows! I’ve had more bad races than good. But I’m excited to run with this new sense of freedom and see what happens! 8 miles easy today in the pouring rain.
