Bench starting to feel juicy again

Deadlift: 5x3x385 squat stance
0/10 recommend doing high bar and these on the same day 🥴 my quads were gone. Only did the last deadlift in this vid with some what good form lol this was my last set after all tho 🤷🏾‍♂️ OHP: 3x8x115 @ 7ish 💀 these repeated same weight from last week but do to the fact that I had low energy at this point I’m happy with it.

Never before seen footage from my last two workouts 🤭. Seated overhead press, close grip floor press, safety bar squats, heavy deadlifts, speed deadlifts, Romanian deadlifts, and pull throughs. On deadlifts I went a bit off program (sorry Josh! 🤒): top single was supposed to be 745lbs, but that moved well and I’d been feeling kind of down on myself for some lackluster performances over the last week or so, so I wanted something heavy, so I did 365kg/804lbs. Also, @danandsparkle told me I’m looking skinny so I’m gonna have to address that because #noskinnychampions . The best supplements @animalpak

BANCH was phenomenal tonight. 297 for a very very clean single. Likely the first time I've hit this outside a peak. Looking forward to 300+ becoming a regular thing. Backoff 4s up to 270 felt like moon gravity. Setting my femurs before the unrack felt fantastic and definitely got my torso higher than before. Feelsgoodman.
It's that a little sweat I see @gefilte_lifts?

Some people train to get fitter. Some train to get strong. Some train to be faster.

I started 2020 with a goal. That is to get my lifting back up after the knee injury mid last year. I want to get stronger.

Having been committed to it in the last couple of months focusing on building the foundation and consistency, I couldn’t feel more than I did today especially under the guidance of @deni_lifter. He has helped me address my weaknesses which probably had cause the injury. Today my squat is deeper with a more upright torso.

Weightlifting is all about speed, coordination, strength, power, stamina, agility and balance.

Today was not a PR for me. I managed to get 78 on my snatch and 100 on the clean and jerk closer to my previous PRs.

Hopeful within the next cycle I’ll be able to hit 82 snatch and 110 clean and jerk.

Love this single leg version of this reverse smith machine leg press. I'm a huge fan of doing uni- lateral sets for any movements that you can do. I'm always preaching body balance and doing uni- movements is a great way to make sure the right side does what the left side does. Here the awesome @madisonoakes_ preforms the movement to perfection. And when you see the isolation in her glutes and the way they pop you know this works. 👉Deload week continued....today was quick and effective. Just what was needed after a poor night of sleep.

We had to drive to Louisville so I could get fingerprinted for my TX nursing license, so we took the opportunity to hit the @katyhearngym and move some weights. We even got the chance to run into @suegainz , who is absolutely killing her prep and is going to accomplish big things in the next few months. So thankful for all I’ve gained in this world of fitness- relationships, experience, and personal growth- and everything to come

FACT : Rest days are underrated! 👏🏽 —————————————————————————
We often hear about the positive health benefits of exercise, generally coupled with the negative effects of inactivity. But what people fail to mention, is the importance of REST DAYS. 🤨 —————————————————————————
In the past, I thought that training everyday meant continual progress. I almost felt guilty for having a day off - associating rest days with “laziness”. 😬 ————————————————————————
Let me give it to you straight - Taking a rest day is being SMART.. Not lazy! —————————————————————————
To simplify things.. working out is stress on your body. As a result, your body then tries to compensate for that stress by adapting. However, the catch is that these adaptations cannot be made unless your body is in a rested (non-stressed) state. Meaning that your rest day plays an equal role in the process of achieving your goals. Flip the switch, and think of your rest day as a “growth day”. 💪🏽 ————————————————————————
Trust me, I’ve learnt the hard way through over training, spells of back to back injuries / niggles, and lack of progress. Simply getting through training, and dismissing being tired is NOT OK! 👎🏽 ————————————————————————

Took a rest day yesterday and it felt like I haven’t been to the gym in like a week lol🥵 Had an amazing glutes and hamstrings workout today and I’m honestly really really loving this leg day split! I think I’ve given it a fair shot and I’m going to keep my leg days structured this way for a good while now!
SAVE, SHARE, and try this out to get your glutes and hamstrings on FIREEE🔥

WORKOUT:
1️⃣ Sumo deadlifts: 10x4 increasing weight
2️⃣ Sumo squats w DB: 10x4

3️⃣ DB stiff leg deadlifts: 10x4

4️⃣ Hip thrusts: 15x4 hold the 10th reps for 10 seconds, then do the last 5

5️⃣ Seated hamstring curls into single leg seated hamstring curls: 10reps both legs, 8 reps single leg each leg, 3 sets

6️⃣ Weighted glute hyper extensions: 10x4
