☠️ Sinceramente wachinis, me muero un poco por dentro cada vez que algún paciente con resistencia a la insulina o diabetes me dice esto en la consulta 😷 Muches me lo han comentado desde la semana pasada 🇨🇱 Así que yo me voy, tsao con shile bye 🤡🤪 Y a ustedes no les dio diabeti por comer mucha fruta no señor jijiji 🥐 Es que en serio, en ningún paper de ningún lado dice que alguien con estas enfermedades no puede comer plátano ni betarraga ni zanahoria ni choclo ni piña ni sandia 🍌 Esta creencia del año de la cocoa se ha mantenido en chile, traspasado las barreras educacionales médicas y lo siguen diciendo 🤬 Claro, alguien con estas enfermedades debe llegar a su peso ideal 🙏🏿 Para eso, y por un tiempo transitorio, se deberán restringir porciones y calorías de comidas 🥒 ¡Pero no eliminar las frutas! 🍊 Y lo que encuentro más brigido: no pueden comer fruta pero si matraquear y bebidas light 🥪 Mundo al revés 👽

🏆 La ciencia nuevamente es fuerte y clara 🥇 Poblaciones que consumen más fruta tienen menor riesgo de tener RI y DM2 🥗 Los que ya están diagnosticados con estas, si se mantienen comiendo frutas, tienen menor riesgo de complicaciones, menor necesidad de medicamentos (metformina, insulina) y menor progresión 📈 ¿Por qué? 🥕  Por un lado, la fruta tiene fibra (regula paso de azúcar a la sangre) e infinitos “fitoquímicos” anti-inflamatorios, anti-oxidantes, sensibilizadores de insulina, en fin 🍍 Diabético que no come fruta, diabético que tendrá peor futuro 🍉 Las frutas se catalogan como alimentos funcionales positivos 🍇 Es más, la ciencia las cataloga como dentro de los alimentos más saludables de planeta 🍓 Así que si algún médico o nutricionista te dice “no comas fruta” corre, corre por tu vida wachini ✈️ Toma el metro, un bus, un taxi lo que sea pero aléjate de ese ser humano desactualizado 🤣

    Working on my mental health one run at a time 🏃🏼‍♂️😅 I stopped doing pretty much all exercise because of panic attacks and anxiety and starting again is so difficult. It’s not only the case of starting again and being unfit but continuing to learn to accept the way I feel, taking the anxiety and panic with me and then also de-associating the symptoms of a panic and anxiety from how working out makes me feel.

I’m starting to plan for the upcoming semester and wanted to share some of my best planning/organization tips ahead of school starting:
✏️Make sure to save all your syllabuses/course outlines where you can easily refer back to them ✏️Create a spreadsheet with all your due dates for the semester
✏️Write down any important deadlines in your phone calendar/agenda
✏️Organize folders (digital or physical - up to you!) for any important sheets you get during the school year
✏️Find a study buddy in each of your classes to share notes with in case either of you are ever away ✏️Pre-purchase any school supplies you know you need, but if you’re not sure about something, wait to see what your professors say!
✏️Try not to get ahead of yourself! Take it a day at a time !

    Being carefree or going-with-the-flow didn't come naturally to me. I've had to learn it. Stress has run my life since my early days. Even as a little girl, I remember being a little worrier. It was pretty much under wraps till I reached my 20's, when the anxiety hit full speed and I feared the worst at every turn. 
It's been quite the journey to get here. Nothing perfect about it, but I consider it perfect, as it is.
There are lots of practices and rituals that helped me rebuild from chronic stress. A commitment to slowing down was a prerequisite, for sure. A practice of letting go and allowing life to take the lead ie trusting life's flow. The slowing of pace allowed me to see through the fog. With a conscious awareness, I let go of relentlessly doing in my life and was able to simply be, trusting that being is not only enough, but is actually everything. 
When I slowed down, I began to understand that the thoughts in my head are not who I am. What a liberation this was 🌻 I notice, now, that the noise around me is just that, noise. You either give power to it, or you don't. I realise now, more than ever, that being present in my life is the greatest gift I can give to myself. I now know that I'd been missing out on so much. I sometimes say that I wish I could go back to moments in my life, not to rewrite history, just so that I can feel things twice... in this state, now, with full presence.

    Being carefree or going-with-the-flow didn't come naturally to me. I've had to learn it. Stress has run my life since my early days. Even as a little girl, I remember being a little worrier. It was pretty much under wraps till I reached my 20's, when the anxiety hit full speed and I feared the worst at every turn.
    It's been quite the journey to get here. Nothing perfect about it, but I consider it perfect, as it is.
    There are lots of practices and rituals that helped me rebuild from chronic stress. A commitment to slowing down was a prerequisite, for sure. A practice of letting go and allowing life to take the lead ie trusting life's flow. The slowing of pace allowed me to see through the fog. With a conscious awareness, I let go of relentlessly doing in my life and was able to simply be, trusting that being is not only enough, but is actually everything.
    When I slowed down, I began to understand that the thoughts in my head are not who I am. What a liberation this was 🌻 I notice, now, that the noise around me is just that, noise. You either give power to it, or you don't. I realise now, more than ever, that being present in my life is the greatest gift I can give to myself. I now know that I'd been missing out on so much. I sometimes say that I wish I could go back to moments in my life, not to rewrite history, just so that I can feel things twice... in this state, now, with full presence.

Des petites oppositions banales, mais si vraies. POURQUOI?⁣

POURQUOI ; parfois le mot n’est pas assez fort pour comprendre nos gestes et actions et de où cela provient.⁣

La vie, le temps coule. C’est ce qui nous aidera à réaliser & comprendre.⁣

Les mauvais moments, il en aura.⁣
Les regrets, il en aura.⁣

Le plus important ; les réalisations qui en découlera!⁣

    Update : Day 50 of #75hard 
A few things I’ve learned so far about this challenge :

This isn’t something you do to impress people. This is for you and you only, therefore you cannot expect everyone to understand. It’s MENTAL. It requires DISCIPLINE. It requires planning. It requires long hard looks in the mirror. It will cause doubt, tears and brief moments of feeling defeated. Calling yourself out daily. Drinking your last bit of water while feeling nauseated and finishing the last few pages of your book while your eyes are barely open. More than anything it takes INTEGRITY. It sucks. It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done. But I’m ready to dominate these last 25 days! Thank you @andyfrisella for sharing this challenge along with all your raw and real content. Your podcast have pushed me through many of my outdoor workouts. @britphelps Thank you for sharing your daily progress! 💪🏼
