Tonight we had this stew from the crockpot😊. It's onion, paprika, carrots, 400 ml passata, 4 tablespoons of sojasauce, 1 teaspoon of nutmeg, 1 teaspoon of paprika powder, 3 teaspoons of garlic powder and 1 tablespoon of callofit currysauce. I've baked the beef ( about 1500 grams) first in butter and then I've put it in the crockpot with all the other ingredients. Had it 6 hours on high and 2 hours on low. I am so proud of myself today! The day didn’t start very well and I exercised after breakfast witch wasn’t very good but I did make up for it bu not counting calories for most of the day! Day 20 - Wednesday 🌱

I'm going to bash these out with uploading as Instagram seems to be working now finally 😂

Wednesday was a super hungry day, it must be going in ups and downs with my hunger🙈

SALADA at work be doing good today👏 A colleague said I could have some of her speedy silver skin onions, yasss queen get that speed in!

I am loving the Alpro yogurts, I don't think I miss quark or mullerlights anymore😂 and those Alpro dessert style yogurts are something else👀 I blame the hospital getting me hooked on them!

Tea was a random concoction of ALL THE SPEED food in my fridge, so we had onions, spring onion, chickpeas, peppers, peas and mange trout. Bit of all sorts, can't go wrong there tbh!

All in all, a pretty swell day. I really think Slimming World should make vegan hifi bars 😭 if Alpen can bring us jaffacake bars, then sis, what's the issue🤔

If they were going to make a hifibar, it's got to be cookies and cream right? I think that would give oreo vibes and I'm here for it. Thank me later Slimmingworld x

This week, I wanted to give you a sneak peek into my grocery cart!⁣

The way I shop at the store is by spitting up my list into my meals. This helps me make sure I’m getting everything I need! ⁣

I wanted to show you all category by category what I got this week for meals and snacks!⁣

PROTEIN 🥚🍗: @vitalfarms eggs, turkey bacon, @beyondmeat beef crumbles⁣

FRUITS/VEGGIES🥦 🍓: Blueberries, strawberries, lettuce, onion ⁣

CARBS + FATS 🥑🥐: Babybell, rice cakes, @bearnakedgranola bites, @naturespathorganic gluten free waffles⁣

OTHER/ FOR FUN 🍫: @gtskombucha, @lovesuja immunity shot, dark chocolate (@loving_earth + @evolvedchocolate), @spindrift and caffeinated sparkling water from @talkingrainwaters, @milkadamia , @gomacro bars, pickles⁣

I am still eating primarily on the anti inflammatory diet (mostly gluten free and dairy free) however, I find that a string cheese/babybell during the day doesn’t effect me negatively. ⁣

I’ve also recently started working in turkey and chicken into my diet for more protein and my body has been handling it well.⁣

This is just an example of what my grocery trips look like. I try to focus on protein for each meal and build my meals and snacks around that! I also have a few other fruits, veggies, and snacks at home already.⁣

So I had been craving pizza like a mad women and instead of giving in and ordering Domino's I tried to get creative in the kitchen 🍕 This recipe can be customized to fit so many different tastes and dietary needs. I ordinarily use low fat mozzarella but I was out so I subbed in Sargento. I also don't like tomato sauce so I always use a white sauce 😁😁😁

Day 19 - Tuesday🌱

So this was my food diary on Tuesday as Monday was quite filling😂 and I think the adrenaline rush from Zumba Strong with my main gal made my legs go wobbly💃

So this was my food diary alongside a million and one coffees throughout the day☕

I never realised how much of an impact it can do to you when you haven't been to the gym properly in over 2 months, I did a rookie error and didn't bring my inhaler... Meaning I looked like a crazy out of breath and red faced weirdo. Extremely attractive.

So these next few gym sessions I'll bring my inhaler, because fuck you lungs 😂

So this was my food diary on Tuesday as Monday was quite filling😂 and I think the adrenaline rush from Zumba Strong with my main gal made my legs go wobbly💃

So this was my food diary alongside a million and one coffees throughout the day☕

I never realised how much of an impact it can do to you when you haven't been to the gym properly in over 2 months, I did a rookie error and didn't bring my inhaler... Meaning I looked like a crazy out of breath and red faced weirdo. Extremely attractive.

So these next few gym sessions I'll bring my inhaler, because fuck you lungs 😂

My face when the vegan roast arrives.... WITH A YORKSHIRE PUDDING😆!!!!!

Today I was very kindly invited to @tredwells , a beautiful restaurant in London, the try out their #Vegwells Sunday roast. 😋I do not have a bad word to say about it, apart from the fact I could of eaten 10 more vegan Yorkshire puddings.

💫To start we had the tastiest warm sourdough bread, followed by the Miso glazed cabbage and also the Leek Coji (photos and menu above, swipe left). 💫The main dish was called “The Vegwells ‘Not another nut roast’” served with roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, roasted carrots and gravy. The main was honestly 10/10. 💫We were then served dessert! We had the Warm pear and ginger cake with custard, Poached rhubarb, cheesecake mousse with meringue and finally the “cream cheese” parfait with carrot cake. -
💕I can not recommend this place enough, the staff were amazing the food was absolutely delicious and I will 100% be returning. 🌱✅P.s. this is not a vegan restaurant HOWEVER they do have many plant based options. Basically... it is perfect for everyone.

U P D A T E
Hey guys! I’m so so sorry for being inactive the past few weeks. Instagram has been being really troublesome, and hasn’t been allowing me to post, like, or follow for the past few weeks. The past few weeks have been really nice. I’ve transferred to Waldorf, and am really enjoying it. I have met a bunch of people, and am starting to make some friends. Eating wise, everything is doing well. I’ve gained a tiny bit of weight the past few weeks, but i’m totally fine with it, as i’m definitely growing. Right now, i’m on tom way to see my grandma, as she’s getting really old, and will unfortunately pass away soon. Anyways, thank you all for your patience. Sending you all so much love!

vegan cheese Potato leek and black kale pastry turnovers with a pickled red cabbage slaw 👌

👩‍🍳ingredients 👩‍🍳
Shortcrust pastry, salad potatoes boiled, sautéed leeks and the kale. I made the cheese sauce the same as you would any béchamel but with vegan butter, flour and unsweetened soya, then added mustard, roasted garlic, salt pepper and nutritional yeast (instead of normal cheese) taste lovely and creamy and nobody even noticed 💁🏼‍♀️

You don’t need the kale I just snuck it in to force feed my kids more veggies 😬 .

Skipped breakfast today, so this was my lunch. I had about 8 oz chicken breast, 10 small olives, about 1/4 cup spinach and about 1.5 cups of my homemade guacamole from yesterday. I topped the chicken and guac with a little bit of Frank's red hot sauce. Delicious!! A friend is coming today to make some jam pastries with me so I'll be sharing those when we make them. They won't be keto but I will obviously try a few. I hope to learn from her recipe and then see if it can be ketofied later.

This is my new favorite whipped cream replacement! It’s a great healthy alternative to dairy whipped cream/Cool Whip. If you are still using Cool Whip, please make a swap! It is all hydrogenated oils (trans fats) & high fructose corn syrup!! I love this coconut whipped cream on apple pie (sugar-free recipe coming soon!), hot chocolate, etc. It has such a great flavor with only a teaspoon of added sugar!

lemon poppyseed pancakes
these are probably the best pancakes I’ve ever made. and they are vegan! the extra baking powder makes them super fluffy and I used some protein powder which added sweetness and made them more filling. they were the perfect sunday morning breakfast!
recipe (makes four small pancakes)
•1/2 cup of flour (I used a mix of oat and all purpose) •1 scoop of protein (optional but I used @nuzest smooth vanilla). •1/2 tablespoon of baking powder. •1/2 teaspoon of baking soda •pinch of salt •zest of half a lemon
•1/2 tablespoon of poppy seeds ~combine the dry ingredients then make some “buttermilk”
•1/2 cup of nondairy milk + 1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar ~let that set for five minutes, then add a dash of vanilla and the juice of half a lemon ~add the wet ingredients to the dry, then mix until just combined ~let the better sit while heating a griddle to 350 degrees or medium heat ~cook the pancakes until slightly done around edges and bubbles form, then flip (I added some blueberries to a few of mine) ~to top them, I made a glaze with powdered sugar and lemon juice ~these are so bomb please try them! <

lemon poppyseed pancakes
these are probably the best pancakes I’ve ever made. and they are vegan! the extra baking powder makes them super fluffy and I used some protein powder which added sweetness and made them more filling. they were the perfect sunday morning breakfast!
recipe (makes four small pancakes)
•1/2 cup of flour (I used a mix of oat and all purpose) •1 scoop of protein (optional but I used @nuzest smooth vanilla). •1/2 tablespoon of baking powder. •1/2 teaspoon of baking soda •pinch of salt •zest of half a lemon
•1/2 tablespoon of poppy seeds ~combine the dry ingredients then make some “buttermilk”
•1/2 cup of nondairy milk + 1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar ~let that set for five minutes, then add a dash of vanilla and the juice of half a lemon ~add the wet ingredients to the dry, then mix until just combined ~let the better sit while heating a griddle to 350 degrees or medium heat ~cook the pancakes until slightly done around edges and bubbles form, then flip (I added some blueberries to a few of mine) ~to top them, I made a glaze with powdered sugar and lemon juice ~these are so bomb please try them! <

#Veganury day 19 calls for a vegan Sunday roast dinner 😝 🌱.

My parents returned home from their holiday today and fairplay fo my Dad. After coming off a 24 hour flight he started cooking this up 👏🏼. I had 4 vegan Richmond sausages with lots of roast potatoes, sage and onion stuffing, cabbage, broccoli 🥦, potch* and gravy 🥄 .

*Does anyone else have ‘potch’? It is basically mashed carrots, swede and parsnips and it is 10/10 🤤👌🏼.

#Veganuary week 3 thoughts 💭.

1. @bulkpowders vegan banana protein bars are good but even better kept in the fridge 😝 (Link in my bio xoxo).
2. I have not craved any non plant based foods 🌱.
3. Before doing this I ate plant based 90% of the time anyway so I think I have maybe found this easier than most people ☝🏼.
4. Will I go back to eating fish now and again? i don’t know yet 🤷🏽‍♀️.
5. I listened to @rhitrition podcast yesterday called ‘How to go vegan’ & I really recommend. She talks a lot about how to get in all of your nutrients etc 👏🏼.
6. So many more people are cutting back on meat than you think, which is a fabulous step forward 🌍 .
7. I feel like there needs to be less investment into ready meals and more investment into teaching people how to cook plant based/ convenience meal ideas 💡 .
8. Happy Cow app is great for finding out what restaurants have vegan options 🌱. #EmilysWorld #StayGoofy .

There is no best time to eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Your meal planning will all depend on your schedule and your activity level throughout the day. However, there's some general rules you should consider, especially if you're dieting now.

⚡Breakfast: - Eat within 30 minutes - 1 hour of waking up to give your brain and body the energy it needs to function before beginning any daily tasks
- Do not delay breakfast later than 10 am
- Make sure you have protein in your breakfast
.
✨Lunch:
- Try and keep a gap of 4 hours between your breakfast and lunch to maintain steady blood glucose and keep hunger manageable
- Do not delay lunch later than 4 pm.
.
✨Dinner:
- Dinner is best to be eaten again 3 to 4 hours after lunch and 2 to 3 hours before bedtime to promote optimal sleep and efficient use of calories.
- Do not delay dinner later than 10 pm
.
⚡Workout meal:
- Never workout (especially weight training) on an empty stomach
- The sooner you eat before your workout, the smaller and simpler the meal should be.

A common question I get asked about intuitive eating is, where do I start? I’m not a certified therapist or specialist for IE and I’m sharing this info based on my experience and journey. Something that helped me a lot was putting a stop to labeling food as “good” and “bad” in my head. Food is just food and ALL foods serve a purpose in our lives, even the ones that aren’t necessarily nutrient dense, like hot chocolate!
.
Labeling food good/bad or healthy/unhealthy screws with our relationship with eating and food. 👉🏼👉🏼👉🏼Yes, it can be helpful to know which foods have protein and are filling, which foods have fiber, which foods make you feel your best etc, BUT ☝🏼just because an ingredient or meal is nutrient dense doesn’t mean it’s “good” in the moral sense. It’s an important distinction because this type of thinking leads to labeling OURSELVES as good/bad or healthy/unhealthy based on our food choices. 🙅🏻‍♀️It’s a slippery slope.
.
👌🏼Instead, try neutral terms. Try calling food what it is (like I do in this post). Use terms that describe how food tastes, the textures, the colors etc. These are all pretty neutral compared to the black and white thinking of good/bad or healthy/unhealthy.
.
🤘🏼This is why you NEVER see words like this in WWL Recipes: guilt free, healthy, healthier, healthified, as well as terms like low carb, no oil, sugar free, low sugar (although I know the latter terms are helpful for those with certain medical conditions, aside from being totally co-opted by diet culture)
.
🙏🏼Making food neutral in my mind helped me so much with my relationship with food. I no longer feel like I’m being “bad” when I eat a muffin or pasta or a cookie. I don’t go out of my way to eat food that’s ONLY “good” for me. It’s just food.
