After holding on to this piece for a few months, two couples wanted it within an hour! I'm thankful to have such understanding clients and was happy to create an altered version of the original so that all parties could be happy with a local original! | 24" x 48 mixed media painting on canvas.

Making assets in Blender for "The Magician", my personal project.
.
The day before yesterday accidentaly demolished the daywork on Cave Raven demon sculpt from previous posts and decided to have a rest from demons for a while and to work a bit on my another project. I suddenly understood that without easily manageable assets it will be out of control very soon and I will hardly ever push it through. Anyway, the work on big projects is not only developing concepts and designing strange creatures, isn't it? 😉
.
Oh, by the way it is Blender Eevee realtime viewport, not an animation. Unfortunately unless I finally recieve my new computer (hope it will happen very soon), I can record video from screen only at about 9 fps, so my apologies for the quality.

The summer after you graduate high school, you’re caught somewhere between a kid and an adult. The summer after you graduate high school, you find yourself unsure about so many things - like who you really are as a person. That Summer helps to define who you are. That Summer changes your life. #thatsummer #comingsoon . .

You’re gonna fuck up… ... in life, in prep, in business. It’s inevitable, you will make mistakes. After all you are human and no one is perfect. When you make a mistake it’s not going to feel very good, but does it really need to ruin your whole day? I mean a perfectly good 24-hours?? Ask yourself is there something I could have done differently or was this simply an accident. Either way, accept that you messed up, forgive yourself and move on with your day.

Today started with me feeling like I really screwed up big time which immediately turned into a feeling of “I am a failure.” The thing is, that is simply not true. I am not a failure, I just made a mistake. So I told that little negative voice in the back of my head to "shove it." I apologized to the person it affected (even if the only person it affected was yourself, you should still apologize), I recognized where I went wrong, accepted that I can’t change the things I did/didn’t do that caused it to happen, I forgave myself, reflected on the things I can do better in the future to prevent it from happening again and thennnnnn…. I brushed my hands off, let it go, and moved on with my morning. This is a good practice to get into if you are prepping for a bikini competition, or starting a new fitness journey. Mistakes happen, let it go, move on.

It’s been good day.

QUESTION: why should I include insurance and shipping in my price rather then give the collector the choice?
ANSWER: I just did a post on a few shipping tips, and in that post I stated that shipping with insurance is a MUST and that collectors shouldn’t get a choice on that point... this is based on my own experience, where I used to give collectors the choice of whether they want their painting shipped with insurance or not, thinking I could help them save a little bit of $. A certain collector bought $15,000 worth of artwork, and decided not to ship with insurance to save $400... sure, the choice was theirs and it was not my problem if the artwork arrived damaged, which they would have to cover the expense of fixing... but it put my reputation on the line, and also meant that I could not guarantee that everything would be taken care of. I have never been confident in courier services, especially for international shipments, and ensuring that every part of my collectors experience in purchasing my work is seamless means getting it there in perfect condition. Didn’t make sense to put so much effort into making the artwork, only to risk everything to save a few $. This is the way I choose to ship, and will always recommend for others to do. Insurance is tricky especially when making a claim, but generally the shipping company is more careful with an insured item as well. If they don’t have to submit a claim, they get the 4% extra 😊
