Bye-bye 35 pounds!
3 months ago I had a natural medicine free birth.. it was extremely painful!! Lol I screamed but didn't cry (I didn't want to mess up my make up that I put on during contractions 😂)
12 hours of labor 15 minutes of pushing I gave birth to my angel Halo Havyn 😇
I had a long recovery, I lost a liter of blood, I blacked out a week after I gave birth in my front yard (super scary had never done that before my vision literally went dark then I dropped) thank God I wasn't holding my newborn my best friend was and she caught me.
I could barley walk for weeks I was so swollen and had stitches healing. At my six week appointment it took me so long to just walk into the hospital around month two I stopped bleeding and could walk better.
I've always been very self conscious so when I was able to I started to work out. That along with breastfeeding and watching what I eat I've been about to loose 35 pounds.
I'm super happy I still have a longgggg way to go but I have to say I'm proud and I feel much better about myself. -

I had no intentions to go above 120kg on bench today, but some days you're just feeling it so i went to 150kg.

BACK! This is how I'm looking at the moment (I obviously don't know how to pose 😂) been back in proper training for 2months and can't wait to see some progression in a few months time. The basics to back are: Rows = thickness, & Pulls = width. Mix up the grips and add accessory movements to create a killer workout! Videos include single arm rows, and cable rows hitting both a close and wider grip. I like to alternate the grip each set, to really focus on all muscle groups. We also do this for pull downs, hitting a normal grip, an underhand grip, and a grip with palms facing. Add some different grips to your workout and let me know how it goes!

HYBRID TRAINING: PART 2 (THE SPLIT). -

The beauty of this program comes through adjusting the demands put on the CNS by varying load, speed, and intent of exercises. So each workout is based on the neurological demand with the highest-demand work placed on nonconsecutive days. -

There are virtually 2 types of days. For simplicity sake, we will call them "performance" days and "bodybuilding" days. -

PERFORMANCE DAYS: I have 3 different performance days that I rotate, each having 5 exercises in each workout. The order of exercise goes as follows: 1) Jumping/Plyometric Movement, 2) a version of a Squat or Deadlift, 3) a variation of a Press, 4) a Pull or Row, and 5) some form of finisher (Sled Work, Swings, Weighted Carry, etc). Each of the 3 workouts have different exercises and set/rep schemes. -

BODYBUILDING DAYS: There are 3 bodybuilding days, as well, and I split them into the standard Pull, Push, and Leg Days. These days I do more sets and more reps, but the neurological demand of the exercises I use is much less than the performance days. -

HERE'S HOW I ORGANIZE THEM: Monday and Friday are performance days. I train 4-5 days a week. That means in all of my other training days I cycle through the bodybuilding days. I do try to take a day off after the bodybuilding days as these leave me prettt sore. So a 4-day workout week would look like this. -

Week 1 - Monday: Performance Day (full body work).
Wednesday: Back, Biceps, and Abs
Friday: Performance Day (full body work)
Saturday: Chest, Shoulders, and Triceps. -

Week 2 - Monday: Performance Day 3 (full body work)
Wednesday: Legs and Abs
Friday: Performance Day 1 (full body work)
Saturday: Back, Biceps, and Abs. -

And so on. -

At first glance, it may look like there is too much time between the Back and Biceps day. But in reality, they are getting hit 6 times in that two week span - - a high volume stimulation on those two bodybuilding days and a lower volume but higher intensity stimulation on the 4 performance days. This creates a lot of opportunity for taking advantage of muscle protein synthesis...which means more muscle growth. -

After doing a double of @soulcycle yesterday, I thought my legs and body would be dead today. Surprisingly I feel great and just want to be back on the bike. My body is in its best shape ever and I am so glad I got back on a bike. Who wants to ride with me? #soulgifted
