It's absolutely wild here in Iceland today. Gusts of 255km/h and 30 meter waves were recorded nearby - you read that right. The country is at a standstill. We're holed up in a Keflavik Hotel until this monster system has moved through - apparently the second strongest storm in the region in recorded history. Hopefully everyone on the island makes it through just fine!
This one I took on the way to Iceland a little while back, in much nicer conditions.
THE ART OF EDITING - coming to Calgary this October! 👍🏻
I’m excited to head into the city to offer this workshop that’s become one of my favourites over the years! 🙌🏻 See 🔗 link in profile to register - and tag some friends you think should be there!
About the workshop:
Editing images is an underrated part of the creative process in photography. For many photographers, it can be the limiting factor to stronger images (whether they are aware of it or not). Good processing skills can often make the difference between a great image and an exceptional one.
In this introduction to post-processing, I will discuss the importance of editing, and the tools and procedures I feel are most useful to photographers (pulling primarily from my personal toolkit).

Massive aurora display over Alexandra Falls, Northwest Territories.
As a photographer, one challenge that comes with shooting the aurora is the difficulty in finding a foreground that can compete with the spectacular skies. Alexandra Falls were just as stunning as the lights that night, one I'll never forget. Another thing I'll never forget is how precariously my tripod was positioned when I put this self-portrait together... Have a great weekend everyone and feel free to share!
Looking back on our amazing trip to Malta at the end of 2019. The otherworldly sister island of Gozo, in particular, blew my mind. Dotted with caves, sea arches and seastacks, it offered an incredible canvas to the landscape photographer. Hope you enjoy this collection from a little-known nation of the Mediterranean.
