Reflections at Lago di Braies captured by #AlphaCollective member @matt.ferr 😱 "It was an early morning wake up to catch this time-lapse at Lago di Braies in northern Italy. The tranquil waters in the morning coupled with perfect weather conditions made for the most crystal clear of reflections. Sony’s new built in timelapse feature came in for the win here.👌🏼" | Shot on the #SonyAlpha a7R III | #BeAlpha

“Don’t go because someone tells you to go.
Don’t go because everyone else is going.
Don’t go because it would make you look good.
Or because you can make IT look good.
Go because you have to go.
Go because it was written on your DNA.
Go because it pours out from every seam and dream...
And every map that leads you to the unknown.
And every thought that seems to come back
to the one thing that rips you out of bed at night.
And when you go...
Go with eyes open.
Go without sleep if you have to.
However you go, go all in.
And if you don’t like the rhythm, just change the beat.
And as you go, remember...
The world is waiting for your perspective.”
📷: @mmeyers76 “This was my first visit to Oregon, and my first Sony Kando Trip, and I couldn’t have been more impressed with both. Mornings here were beautiful with fog over the lake every day - perfect shooting conditions. I was also fortunate enough to get my hands on an a7R IV to capture it all, and blown away by the detail from that massive sensor. Even cropped way in you can still make out @asenseofhuber’s camera strap!” | #SonyAlpha a7R IV | 24mm f1.4 GM | f2.8 | 1/125 sec | ISO 400 | #SonyKandoTrip #BeAlpha
Thank you to all the amazing creators who joined us this week at #SonyKandoTrip and to those who inspire us daily. As we wrap up our week, check out this awesome video created by @asenseofhuber and @tommylundberg for a look into what “Kando” is all about 👉 “Photography has such a powerful way of bringing together like-minded people to create. I’m so grateful to be part of the #AlphaCollective and for experiences like these where I’m surrounded by other passionate artists. Here’s what @TommyLundberg and I made over the past few days during our Sony Kando 3.0 trip in Oregon. The images in this animation were captured on the brand new #SonyAlpha a7R IV. It was such a treat to hang and collaborate with so many legends- Check out all of the super talented photographers mentioned below in the video by order of appearance! ✨”
Early morning adventures captured by @theanthonycastro with the #SonyAlpha a7R IV. “A surreal morning kayaking here in Sunriver, Oregon, during #SonyKandoTrip. We had no idea what to expect, yet couldnt have asked for anything better. The fog covered everything within a hundred yards of viewing distance leaving nothing but the pines peeking through. So stoked I was able to capture this moment on the new Sony a7R IV!” | a7R IV | 16-35mm F2.8 GM | F4.5 | 1/2500 | ISO 400 | #BeAlpha
#SonyKandoTrip continues with this view captured by #AlphaCollective member @AroundQ taken with the 70-200mm G-Master lens 👉“I love telephoto lenses like the 70-200mm because they are so versatile in open space. Shooting at 200mm compresses the image and brings the mountains and roads closer to you. It also give you a different perspective instead of always shooting wide for landscapes.“ | a7R III | 70-200mm | 200 | f8 | 1/250 sec | ISO 500 | #BeAlpha
Star trails at #SonyKandoTrip captured by photographer @stanmoniz ✨ Here’s a helpful tip for capturing star trails under a full moon 👉 “When shooting under the light of a bright moon try a setting of 40 minutes at f11 and ISO 200. This is what I did here and you might be surprised what you come up with. Star trailing at Kando Trip 3.0 couldn’t be less then inspiring 🤙🏻” | a7R III | 24mm F1.4 GM| F11 | 40 minutes | ISO 200 | #BeAlpha
If you haven’t heard the news yet, it’s #SonyKandoTrip this week and we are here in Oregon with a whole bunch of talented photographers capturing all types of photography and video. Here’s a shot from photographer @max.bon who captured this while testing our brand new a7R IV 😎”Just arrived from the airport and with a new a7R IV in my hands I began strolling around the stunning resort and catching up with my Sony gang...and BOOM, models, set, make up and lighting all meticulously (as always) arranged on the shores of an Oregonian stream. I quickly adjusted my settings, checked the light and let the camera go to work! Now that’s how you kick off an event! Thank you @sonyalpha!!” | #SonyAlpha a7R IV | 85mm F1.4 GM | F2 | 1/800 sec | ISO 100 | #BeAlpha
Kando Trip 3.0 has officially begun! Here’s a shot from our very first sunrise captured by #AlphaCollective member @erickhercules accompanied by some horses 🙌 “Today marked the first day of our #SonyKandoTrip. After reuniting with fellow shooters and staying up way too late, we woke up at 5:30 AM to go shoot cowgirls and horses. We had some heavy fog and the horses were pretty far away for the most part. Since I’ve never tried the 135mm 1.8 G master lens before, this was the perfect opportunity for me to see if the rumors were true. Honestly, the sharpness of the subjects and super soft bokeh of this lens made this morning’s shoot an incredible experience. I’ll be keeping it on my kit for the remainder of the trip!” #BeAlpha
It’s the weekend! Celebrate by blessing your eyes with a few of our favorite shots from talented photographer @matt.ferr (and recent addition to our #AlphaCollective team!) 👉 "From the first moment I picked up a camera I knew it would be a remarkable way to express my creativity. What I didn't know is how far it would take me around the world and how many friendships & experiences I would gain along the way. It's been a rewarding journey and I'm excited to join the Sony Alpha Imaging Collective team. Sony has brought monumental tools to the market and their gear has empowered me to deliver my best creative work." (All images shot on the #SonyAlpha a7R III.) Be sure to give Matt a shout below for a warm welcome to the Alpha Imaging Collective and check out more of his work here👉 @matt.ferr
An epic sunset over the Pyramids of Giza captured by #AlphaCollective member @oveck 🙌 "Some memories of Egypt, an ancient magical land. I shot this during a trip to Egypt last year on the last day of the trip. I suppose it needed to be an epic sunset over the city with the Pyramids of Giza in the background for me to be stunt and wanna go back to this amazing country." | #SonyAlpha a7R III | 70-200mm F2.8 GM | 200mm | F4 | 1/640 sec | ISO 400 | #BeAlpha
#AlphaCollective member @stanmoniz shares this dreamy view of Alabama Hills captured with the 24mm F1.4 G-Master lens 👉 "It's already a known fact that the 24mm GM can produce sharp stars at f1.4, but, try even stopping it down to f2.8. The realism and sharpness you get out of space in a lens of this size is just unheard of. It's definitely a serious tool to unlocking the door to endless creativity... I've said it before and I will say it again, the 24mm GM is a boss in the field of astrophotography." | #SonyAlpha a7R III | 24mm F1.4 GM | f2.8 | 20 sec | ISO 6400 | #BeAlpha
